About Soundologia

Soundologia is an interdisciplinary platform dedicated to the presentation, documentation, and promotion of contemporary and experimental music, sound art, and technology. Founded in 2021 in Miami, Florida, by musicologist, curator, and audio engineer Pedja Kovačević, Soundologia provides a sustained platform for composers, sound artists, and interdisciplinary practitioners working beyond mainstream cultural media.

The platform’s activities include the Soundologia Podcast and interview series, analytical music reviews, long-form artist profiles, curated album recommendations, and multimedia documentation of contemporary music events, festivals, and artistic practices.

In 2024, Soundologia launched Soundologia Records and the Soundologia Anthology series, a multi-volume archival project documenting contemporary composers and sound artists connected to the South Florida music community. In 2025, the project expanded into live programming through the Soundologia Anthology Festival in Miami.

Originally rooted in the South Florida music scene, Soundologia has since expanded its curatorial activities to the Chicago area, engaging with composers, performers, sound artists, and cultural organizations across both regions.
