Soundologia Anthology Volume 2 – Album Release on April 4, 2025
Soundologia Records announces the release of Soundologia Anthology Volume 2, continuing its exploration of South Florida’s experimental music scene. Set for release on April 4, 2025, this edition features seven works that traverse a wide spectrum of sonic approaches, blending acoustic and electronic elements. The album opens with Alba Triana’s Microcosmos, an exploration of cymbal resonances, followed by Charles Norman Mason’s Short Circuit, a piece inspired by neural misfires. Other featured works include José Hernández Sánchez’s Incantation, which combines string textures with unconventional sound sources, and Jacob David Sudol’s across the land…, layering Tibetan prayer cymbals and tam-tam sounds. The collection also presents Richard Garet’s Touch, José Veliz’s interactive Do We Control Nature?, and Juraj Kojš’s Vanilla planifolia, a sonification of vanilla orchid DNA.
Available for Pre-Order Now
The release will be celebrated at a special event on March 29, 2025, at the Deering Estate Black Box Theater in Miami, Florida. Hosted by Kovačević, the evening will feature a panel discussion with contributing composers and a premiere of the works from Volume 2, presented in an immersive quadraphonic surround sound system.
